Addicted To Love

I'm both nervous and excited to share this next video. It's a dance that Brenna (also a teacher at the dance studio) and I choreographed for the show we had in March. I'm especially proud of what we put together in such a short amount of time (about two hours - not counting the run throughs of the full show). The song is a cover of Addicted to Love performed by Florence and the Machine. Our costumes paid homage to the original music video for the song by Robert Palmer - featuring his 'girls.' I hope you enjoy it!

So cool!!! I wish I could see you better but that's just SO rad! How long have you danced?

I can't wait to visit your city! =)

Well my Mom and sister both danced when I was too young to take classes so they say I danced in the aisles of their performances. I officially started when I was 4 and went all the way through until about 27. I didn't dance for the last few years, but I'm back at it now that I'm up in Seattle again.

Really great use of the lights! And then you left your shoes!! It's very striking as a visual piece and I love the swaying movements! Never heard this version by Florence before either.

This made me SMILE! Florence Welch is one of my heroes, and I was a dancer for most of my life. I still consider myself one, but I haven't actually danced in shows in quite a long time. Watching videos like this makes me want to get back to that... it's SO fun. :)

@sbort haha! I've said Arnold Palmer a few times now in the last couple of months knowing full well it's Robert! Can't believe I didn't catch it in my post though! Whoops - I guess the delicious ice tea and lemonade drink that was named after him is always top of mind ;)

Wow. This was really good (: I liked the lighting choice for the set and how the contrasts between dark and light flowed into the dancers too. And you whipped this out in a couple hours?! That's pretty awesome :D
