My friend Andrea went to a fund raiser dinner for the Fallen Heroes Project last night and the cause is definitely worth spreading the word about.
Michael Reagan, an internationally-recognized portrait artist, has a goal of creating a portrait of every soldier who has died in the war. So far he's created 1100 portraits for the families who have lost a loved one. At the event he shared many unbelievable stories about the circumstances in which he's created the portraits. One for a widow so her husband could be with her when she gave birth do their baby and another of a father with his baby that he was never able to meet.
The artist creates every portrait for free, but needs help raising money for supplies. Check out his site, spread the word, donate, or do anything you can to help this bipartisan and inspirational cause.
